Engine Test Cell

Example from Reaction Dynamics Test Cell in Quebec

SFU Rocketry is developing a new permanent Test Stand system, dubbed the Engine Test Cell. This Test Cell takes the form of a reinforced shipping container, which permanently houses all tanks, propulsion instrumentation, and engine mount equipment. This new testing fixture will enable rapid setup on test-event days - allowing for faster iteration and testing of multiple engines. It will also enable longer burn time due to the increased tank size availability, and allow us to develop more complex and powerful engines.
