Thrust Vector Control | Physics Engine

Example from Simulink-FlightGear Co-Simulation

SFU Rocketry is developing a physics engine simulator to accurately model flight conditions that our rockets and payloads experience. Involving aspects of game design, the physics engine will include a graphical 3D rendering as well as extensive data monitoring to track all parts of the simulated rocket during takeoff, flight, and landing events. After simulator completion, the project will evolve into creating and testing firmware for the control of our engine’s thrust positioning/steering system.

Completion: Summer 2024
